What an exciting time in your child’s life – time to plan for two of their sacraments! Here are important dates to be mindful of as the year progresses. If you have not yet sent in your Sacrament registration, and sacramental fee, please do so.
Our Sacramental preparation here at St. Wenceslaus is family centered. This means that preparation is done primarily at home. We conduct several parent meetings to support you as you work with your child through this sacramental study. Please take time each week to go through the lessons so that your child has a good understanding before their celebration of the Sacraments. Materials were handed out in November parent meetings.
Dates to remember:
Thursday November 3 – 1st parent meeting for Reconciliation
Thursday November 17- 2nd parent meeting for Reconciliation
Saturday January 21 – Reconciliation – 9 am for children with last names beginning A-M; 10:15 am for children with last names N-Z.
Thursday February 2 – 6:30-7:30 pm – 1st Parent meeting for Eucharist- after presentation, you will have opportunity to sign up for your child's 1st Communion mass.
Thursday February 23 – 6:30-7:30 PM – 2nd Parent meeting for Eucharist
Saturday April 14 – 9 am – noon – 1st Eucharist Retreat in church basement
First Eucharist options- sign up to take place at the parent meeting in February
*Saturday April 28 and Sunday April 29 - all masses
*Saturday May 5 and Sunday May 6 – all masses
Saturday mass @ 5 PM, Sunday @ 8:30 & 10:30
