First Reconciliation and First Communion - The curriculum used during the Second Grade in St. Wenceslaus School and the Wednesday evening Faith Formation Classes include study of both sacraments. Parents receive the opportunity throughout four meetings to reflect on what the sacraments mean for us today and how to help them become meaningful for our children? Parents are also provided with material for faith sharing experiences with their children in the home throughout the year. A First Communion Retreat is held the month prior to the celebration of First Communion.
Silver Burdett’s curriculum, Blest Are We, for grades 1-5 is based on the four pillars of the Catechism: What Catholics Believe, How Catholics Worship, How Catholics Live and How Catholics Pray.
Grades 1-5 meet on scheduled Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:15 p.m.
