Prayer Shawls
"Shawls ... made for centuries universal and embracing,
symbolic of an inclusive, unconditionally loving, God.
They wrap, enfold, comfort, cover, give solace,
mother, hug, shelter and beautify.
Those who have received these shawls have been
uplifted and affirmed, as if given wings to
fly above their troubles..."

St Wenceslaus women have been creating prayer shawls since 2004. Some are knitted, crocheted, or made from fleece. They are given to anyone who is experiencing a birthday, divorce, illness, death, birth of a child, etc.
You may request a prayer shawl for yourself or for another by calling the parish office at 758-3225, or call the pastoral ministry office at 758-0463.
You are invited to join a group of people who create the shawls on the second Thursday of the month, 7-8:30 pm at Holy Trinity Lutheran church. If you feel knitting and crocheting are not your strong suit, the prayer shawl ministry gratefully accepts yarn donations. E-mail
Kim Gassner, or call at 758-1896 for more information.
See the Prayer Shawl Ministry website, for more information on prayers, patterns, symbolism and more.
This is an ecumenical project for the New Prague Community.
