A Week of Service
SUNDAY- Service to Our Parish
All school families are encouraged to attend the 10:30 Mass this weekend. Students are to wear their uniforms to
church! (You will receive one non-uniform pass for wearing your uniform to church.) Stand out and make a statement to
all of our parishioners! – Parents please wear any St. Wenceslaus Spirit Wear that you may have too! Students will take parts in the Masses.
It is Cinnamon Roll Sunday – All are invited to the cafeteria after Mass on Sunday for some fresh cinnamon rolls
served by the school staff. After 8:30 and 10:30 Masses
MONDAY- Service to The Hungry
Student Council medallion hunt begins.
Cereal Box Service: We will collect boxes of cereal and other boxed items for the food shelf. Students will listen to a
speaker tell us about the food shelf 10:00 AM and then we will walk over to the Peace Center food shelf to deliver our
items.
Student dress up: It is Pajama Day at School. Students may dress in their PJ's, robes and slippers for the day.

TUESDAY- Service to Our World
Change for the World Service: We ask students to participate in a water project. 884 million people die each year due to
lack of clean drinking water. We will collect loose change on this day to donate to a water project at Water.org. Bring in
coins to fill our water jar. It takes $25 to give one person clean water for life in 3rd world countries. 9:15 AM Assembly.
Student dress up: Students are studying the countries of Africa this year. Each class should dress in their specified
country's African colors as directed by teachers.
Class Bowling - 5th grade 8:00-9:00, 8th grade 9:55-10:55, 7th grade 11:45-12:45, 3rd grade 1:05-2:05
WEDNESDAY- Service to Our Seniors
Students can bring an older (Senior Citizen) friend to school with them on this day. Students can sit with their Senior at the 8:00 Mass. After Mass, students with senior guests will participate in a group bingo in the parish activity center. 9:00 - 10:00 AM. Students without senior guests will return to the classroom for a class game.
Student dress up: It is Dress up Day in school. Students need to wear their best outfits for the day. No jeans, shorts, sweatpants or t-shirts allowed on this day.
Class Bowling -1st grade 10:00 - 11:00, 2nd grade 12:30-1:30
THURSDAY- Service to Our Vocations
We will pray for vocations today. Each class will spend a short time in the chapel praying for vocations. We will
see who is studying at the St. Paul Seminary to become a priest. We will hear a talk about missionary work.
10:00 AM assembly. We will study our patron saints.
Student dress up: Students are to dress up in a Western Outfit on this day for a special school project. Wear jeans,
western skirts, flannel shirts, vests, cowboy hats, boots, bandanas etc.
Class Bowling - 6th grade 8:30-9:30, 4th grade 12:30-1:30
FRIDAY- Service of Our SWS Family
Students will meet in family groups to make thank you cards for local business owners. Then the family group
will take a short walk or bus ride to deliver the cards around the New Prague Area. 9:15 AM
In the afternoon, Students will compete against teachers in our annual student council games. Knowledge Bowl
team has challenged the 5-8 teachers to a friendly competition. 12:30 PM. K-8 Teachers will "Play minute to win
it" against the student council at 1:15.
Student dress up: SWS Wacky School Spirit Day - Students may dress loud and clear, wacky or crazy to show
their SWS spirit.
Family Dance in the evening 6:00-8:30 PM. Come dance to the DJ Music, eat dinner with your family, and participate in
the games. Serving Dominos Pizza.
