Attention St. Wenceslaus School Alumni: in the display case outside the PAC is 100 Years-by Decade-Photographs of 8th Grade Graduating classes beginning with the first 1-8th graduating class in 1908! Enjoy the journey down memory lane & celebrate with pride National Catholic Schools Week, Jan 27-Feb 2. To complete the school’s archives, graduating class photos (or a scan of a photo) from the following years are needed: 1971 & 72, 1962, 1941 through 1945, 1930 through 1936, 1920 & 21, 1926 & 27, 1929, 1913 through 1919, and 1908 through 1910. Contact Ann Marie if you have photos to share.
Tax-free IRS Giving Opportunity Deadline Approaching ... Thanks to the Pension Protection Act of 2006, individuals 70 1/2 or older can transfer a gift from their IRS account to a public charity - such as the Church of St. Wenceslaus or St. Wenceslaus School - without reporting it as taxable income. Gifts of up to $100,000 can be made as long as: You are age 70 1/2 or older. You make the gift on or before December 31, 2007. You transfer the funds directly from an IRA or rollover IRA to a qualifying charity. Consult your tax professional or financial advisor if you are contemplating a gift under the new law.
