Marathon 2009 @ St. Wenceslaus School
"Rockin' Out in 09"
*Kick off - September 11 @ 8am, in the PAC! Yes, there will be the usual yelling contest. The staff has a fun activity planned - of course based on the theme!
*Marathon team members will give info packets to teachers, who will distribute to students - so watch for them!
*return slips: September 18 & 25. Turn in money on these dates ONLY: September 30, October 1, 5, 6.
Individual Prizes: (handed out by teachers as met)
$50- out of uniform pass (hats/sunglass day for grades 7 & 8)
$100- coupon for free bowling @ Strike Force
$150- Marathon t-shirt (wearable on Fridays through December!)
Classroom Prizes:(handed out by teachers as met)
33% of goal: free cookie at Lau's
66% of goal: DQ coupon for free ice cream cone
100% of goal: 1/2 hour of free time for the entire class!!!
Other Prizes:
*top student in each grade will attend a pizza party with Ms. Doyle and Mr. Ron McBroom
*1st classroom to reach their classroom donation goal will receive a popcorn party!
*Student with highest donations collected- Target gift card
*Student with most donators- theatre certificate
*Drawing: you as a student will be entered one time for each $10 over $150 you bring in. Prize- iPod and iTunes gift card!!!
*Grade level competitions- K-2, 3-5, 6-8. Which class can reach 10% OVER their goal? 1st one to do it (in each level) will get to pick a dress-up day or change the rule day for November 23, 24 or 25.
*When the school reaches its $50,000.00 goal, an afternoon dance party will ensue!!!!
A handout with walking routes and marathon day schedule will be distributed shortly after school begins.
