History 

Above- the original school building on left, and the 2003 addition (west side). The original school, built by Anton Philipp, was a two-story brick structure with two rooms on the first floor and two rooms on the second floor. It was heated by a wood-burning stove in each room.
2008-09 School year marks the 130th anniversary of St. Wenceslaus School
1878- First school opened its doors.
1883- School Sisters of St. Francis arrived
1908- The first commencement exercise was held for an eighth-grade graduate, Christine (Yackley) Hall. She received two diplomas, - one from St. Wenceslaus and one from the Palmer School in Milwaukee. In addition, awards were given to individual who did not mess school or Mass.
1909- The first boy to graduate was Joachim Benjamin Weides. He was a member of the second gradating class, which consisted of five students.
1914- new school erected - still in use in 2008 - the 'old' building
1915- First graduating class consisted of 27 students
1954- increasing enrollment necessitated another building addition - the '50s building', still in use in 2008
1999- the last of the School Sisters of St. Francis left St. Wenceslaus
2003- an addition was built to include a large activity area - art/drama room, classrooms, library meeting room (later changed to Faith Formation offices), Pope John XXIII meeting room, kitchen, bathrooms, and corridors connecting the church and school buildings. The space is shared with the parish for numerous functions.
2007- the addition of a preschool program - Little Spirits
2008- the addition of an after school program - the ClubHouse
