Student Life

We encourage students to develop and practice their talents, interests, and skills in athletics, performing arts, and through service opportunities. A variety of athletic teams, school clubs, drama productions, and other activities are provided for students.

A sampling of programs:
Co-Curricular Activities St. Wenceslaus School offers a wide variety of co-curricular activities before and after school that students can participate in. Students in 6-8th grade can also participate in co-curricular activities at New Prague Middle School.

Little Spirits Preschool
St. Wenceslaus School has opened a Preschool program that serves students ages 3-5.

Middle School
St. Wenceslaus School’s middle school program begins in 5th grade. We have a fifth and sixth grade house and a seventh and eighth grade house. In our program, middle school students are exposed to a wide variety of academic and enrichment experiences and opportunities. Teachers work with teams of students over a two-year period as they specialize in curricular areas. In addition, band and choir are offered duirng the day at St. Wenceslaus.

Shared Time
Students in grades 7 and 8 are bused to the New Prague Middle School (NPMS) for shared-time classes for fifty minutes daily. Our students currently take science class at the public school. Band and choir may be taken as an option at the public school.

Special Services

As part of our mission statement, St. Wenceslaus School is committed to meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of all students. We offer a full range of programs for students with identified academic or behavioral needs. The classroom teacher is responsible for implementing accommodations and supporting individual learner needs.

School Uniform:
All students in grades K-6 wear a uniform. The uniform consists of a white; polo, turtleneck or dress shirt with collar, navy bottoms and school sweatshirt or sweater. Girls also have the option of plaid jumpers or skirts and blue skorts. The complete uniform policy is available in the parent handbook.

After School Care:New in 2008-09 school year, we have an extended day service for students. This is called ClubHouse.

The Buddy Program:
Sixth Graders help the Second Graders with First Communion and other things.
